Group Anaesthetic Services is a partnership of highly experienced Consultants specializing in Anaesthesia and Critical Care who work in the independent health sector in the Bournemouth and Poole area. All our partners hold Consultant posts at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
We work closely with your Surgeon or Physician and are responsible for providing your anaesthetic care throughout your surgical journey. Many operations require a general anaesthetic but others can be done with sedation or a block where we are able to numb an area of the body. We will also ensure that you receive the best possible pain relief following your operation.
We lead the preoperative assessment service to ensure that you are appropriately investigated and prepared so that your surgery goes smoothly on the day.
Our Consultants are registered to practice at the Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital, the Circle Harbour Hospital and at University Hospitals Dorset Private Health.
